Every other Thursday I will be featuring a different product from Coffee over Cardio. I think it is important to note that these views and opinions are NOT paid for by the company; I was not asked to do this; I am, however, a Barista Babe Brand Ambassador - and darn proud of it - and to start this new tradition that I am so excited about, I thought I would begin with three things that sparked me to create this post; marketing, quality, & community.
I was first drawn to Coffee Over Cardio by their beautiful & bright bags of coffee and tumblers and quickly and irrevocably fell in love with the community!
1. MARKETING
But seriously - how cute are these bags? Abbey Scott, the founder and CEO of Coffee Over Cardio, is seriously slaying the marketing game. Bright colors, bold names, and printing her story on the back of every bag.
I FELL IN LOVE WITH COFFEE IN HIGH SCHOOL. IT'S MY LONGEST RELATIONSHIP TO DATE. COFFEE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ME - ON THE ROUGHEST MORNINGS AND ON THE LATEST NIGHTS. THEN, COFFEE KIND OF GOT BASIC AND REALLY EXPENSIVE... BUT SERIOUSLY, WITHOUT 3 PUMPS OF VANILLA, CREAM, & 3 SWEENTENERS, IT DIDN'T EVEN TASTE GOOD! AFTER 10 YEARS TOGETHER, I HAD TO PUT MY FOOT DOWN.
THE SOLUTION: A COFFEE MEANT FOR MESSY-BUN, YOGA-PANT-WEARING MILLENNIALS WITH A LITTLE ATTITUDE AND A LITTLE KICK! COFFEE OVER CARDIO® (BECAUSE IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE WAY TO INCREASE MY HEART RATE...) WAS MADE FOR ALLLLL THE BOSS BABES FOCUSED ON SELF-GROWTH, BUSINESS & BOOTY GROWTH.

I worked in marketing for several years, owned my own studio at 23; I am no pro, but I can definitely appreciate some master marketing. With names like Messy Bun, #Workflow, Saturdaze, & Flourish (to name a few), it's hard to not meet someone who doesn't resonate with those adjectives. And if you couldn't tell by the name what the coffee represented, there is no mistaking the beautiful illustrations.
With a passion for fitness (woman after my own heart), Scott has also tailored her brand in clothing as well as coffee. And if that weren't enough - you can also subscribe to Espresso Fit, a plan that sets you up with work out routines!
2. QUALITY
In terms of quality, I’ve been drinking coffee for over 15 years so I like to think I know my java! COC has the freshest beans, the richest taste, and the most incredible flavors; cinnamon bun, birthday cake, chocolate donuts - umm.. it's like they were made for me!
Ingredients: Coffee beans, natural extracts
Coffee Over Cardio is flavored with extracts that you would find traditionally in a cake (vanilla, almond extract, etc.). The flavoring is coated on the beans prior to roasting, cooking the flavor directly into the beans before being ground and packed into the bags and nitrogen flushed for optimal freshness.
Coffee Over Cardio beans come from the South American countries through Direct Trade with their farms.
But COC is so much more than coffee! My husband and I are BOTH obsessed with the Smart Start creamer - like, he can’t go to work without it anymore! As a mom of two, I can’t recommend it enough for clarity and focus and helping to increase the longevity of my caffeine intake!
And if all of this wasn’t enough, they also have the CUTEST apparel!! I appreciate the flux in sizes and love how forgiving and comfortable my shirts are! A big reason I was able to get back to the gym after my baby was to show off my sweet new tops - that I constantly get compliments on!!
3. COMMUNITY
Falling in love with the coffee was just the beginning. I applied to become a Barista Babe out of my sheer addiction for this coffee. I also stated before, I'm a sucker for good marketing, and Scott nailed it with this brilliant business plan. I truthfully did not think I would get "approved" because I am by no means and "influencer". But here I am, so thankful and excited by this partnership.
As a Barista Babe, you are included in a special Facebook group, given special deals and discounts, and get the opportunity to know Abbey herself. I think the thing I have loved witnessing the most is her sheer love and courage and belief in this company. She is also incredibly kind, beautiful, and brilliant.
They say your vibe attracts your tribe - well, I have witnessed this first hand by being apart of Coffee Over Cardio and it is crazy cool; these babes are kind, compassionate, and caffeinated. There is something so collective about coffee drinkers, something that allows us to be like minded and completely diverse, almost as if we are bonded by our cup o' joe.
I can not recommend these products OR this community enough! But I will warn you - it’s addicting (in the best way)! ♥️
